25 per cent is added to the hammer price which covers buyer’s premium at 20% and VAT on the buyer’s premium.

Certain lots are sold in accordance with specific rules on normal VAT arrangement, so that the purchase price is the hammer price plus an additional 20% in buyer’s premium and VAT of 25% levied on both the hammer price and the buyer’s premium. Such lots are marked with an asterisk (*).

The works of more recent Danish and foreign artists are subject to a artistic royalty (a Copy-Dan charge) on the hammer price when the hammer price exceeds DKK 1,863. These works are identified by for Copy-Dan, marked beside each relevant lot number.

The charge is:

• 5% of the part of the hammerprice ranging from DKK 1.863 to DKK 310.567 plus the buyer’s premium (20% excl. VAT)

• 3% of the part of the hammerprice ranging from DKK 310,567 to DKK 1,242,267 plus the buyer’s premium (20% excl. VAT)

• 1% of the part of the hammerprice ranging from DKK 1,242,267 to DKK 2,173,967 plus the buyer’s premium (20% excl. VAT)

• 0,5% of the part of the hammerprice ranging from DKK 2,173,967 to DKK 3,105,667 plus the buyer’s premium (20% excl. VAT)

• 0,25% of the part of the hammerprice lying above DKK 3,105,667 plus the buyer’s premium (20% excl. VAT)

The artistic royalty cannot exceed DKK 93,170 for each work of art.
