Spring Quality Auction

Anders Antik/Bruun Rasmussen begins its International Spring Quality Auction on Sunday 25 May at 12.00 in Landskrona.

After the growth in sales last autumn, which can be ascribed not least to the introduction of online quality auctions, there is considerable interest in and major expectations for the spring event.

We are delighted to note that the positive trend in connection with our online auctions has continued with a steadily increasing selection of items for an international group of customers. More and more quality objects in the lower price range are now also sold online as there is a new auction every other week. One of the advantages of this procedure is that it is no longer necessary to wait for what could be up to six months before receiving payment. Based on this, we have also taken the opportunity to create an exciting Spring Quality Auction with the emphasis on slightly more expensive items.

Where modern art is concerned, we find the highly topical artist, Jan Voss, represented by his work "RONDE DE SORCIERES", signed and dated – 88. Voss' typical working method, creating strong contrasts with the help of a powerfully coloured palette, can be seen quite clearly in this work.

Another distinctive item is a silver tureen, gilded inside and with a cover that weighs a full 3.75 kg. It was made in 1918 by Christian Fr. Heise in Copenhagen in what was a typically Danish combination of Jugendstil and national romanticism.

The high prices paid for items by Finn Juhl at the Autumn Quality Auction have certainly also helped to bring in items by the Danish designer this time. They are two armchairs designated "NV-48", made of teak and upholstered in woollen fabric. The model was launched in 1948.

The figurine "Harlequin and Columbine" comes from Meissen, Germany, and is associated with the Imperial Ballet Corps in St. Petersburg and Moscow. It was designed in 1913 by Paul Scheurin and was in production from 1913 to 1924.

In conclusion, for those who didn't buy a ticket home after visiting Anders Antik/Bruun Rasmussen in Landskrona, we can offer several alternatives. What about a medium-blue, six-cylinder Mercedes Benz 220S from 1959, or perhaps for the more daring, either a Matchless motorcycle from 1949 or a JAWA DT500 speedway bike from the 1970s? In that case, it may also be a good thing that the catalogue for the Autumn Quality Auction has been redesigned and, first and foremost, now has a handier size that will fit into the pocket of a leather motorcycling outfit perfectly.
